The SharkBite U724LF Push-to-Connect Brass Stem Reducerhas one side featuring a copper tube size (CTS) tailpiece adapter. The other side has a push-to-connect end that is compatible with PEX, copper, CPVC, PE-RT and HDPE pipes. As you insert the pipe into this push-to-connect fitting the stainless-steel teeth clamp down tightly while the built-in O-ring compresses ensuring a leak-free seal. If the U724LF reducing stem needs to be disconnected simply slip the disconnect tool behind the collet firmly and the fitting will disconnect. Unlike many plumbing connectors, SharkBite fittings can be rotated after assembly to make installation quick and easy.
